2009年に参加した紙器業者様とのお仕事をきっかけに、ペーパーエンジニアとして活動を始めました。
紙というシンプルでありながら奥深い世界。
一見不可能に思えるような表現も、ペーパーエンジニアリングならではの発想と技術によって可能にしてしまう。そんな世界に少しずつ魅了され、今日に至ります。
世界中のペーパーエンジニアたちの作品に学びながら、紙の表現自体を根本から変えてしまうような、新たな仕掛けづくりを目指して日々制作を続けています。
私はこれまでペーパーエンジニアの他に、グラフィックデザイナー、アートキュレーティングなどを経験してきました。それらのスキルや経験を活かし、協働するデザイナーやアーティストのコンセプトや視点を大切にした設計を常に心がけています。
多くのクリエイターの皆さま、また作品をご覧くださったすべての方と、紙の仕掛けの面白さや感動を共有できれば幸いです。
I began working as a paper engineer in 2009, sparked by a project with a paper packaging company.
Paper is a simple yet profoundly rich medium.
Expressions that might seem impossible at first can be realized through the unique ideas and techniques of paper engineering.
Gradually, I became fascinated by this world, and it continues to inspire me today.
Learning from the works of paper engineers around the world, I constantly strive to create new mechanisms that fundamentally transform the way paper expresses ideas.
In addition to being a paper engineer, I have experience as a graphic designer and art curator.
Leveraging these skills, I always prioritize the concepts and perspectives of the designers and artists I collaborate with in my engineering work.
I hope to share the joy and excitement of paper mechanisms with many creators and everyone who experiences my work.
